Digital trends change very rapidly. Earlier, these trends would last a few years, but they are now changed or upgraded almost every year. Nobody can predict what the future holds. However, let’s see what design patterns that have already emerged could become a major trend in 2021.

Let’s see what 2021 has in store for us!

(1) 3D Illustrations

The 3D design will be one of the most popular design trends in 2021. Nowadays, clients are increasingly focusing on providing users with an immersive experience such as creating an attractive 3D background for the website. Depth, shadows, lighting, and textures are all features of 3D design that help consumers feel more connected to the real world. However, 3-dimensional designs surely give a new dimension to the finished product’s overall appearance and feel.

(2) Artificial intelligence

Artificial intelligence will continue to be in trend and make sure to improve and facilitate operations. The generated photos tool, which employs AI to create artificial human photos is an excellent example. AI is now being used in multiple fields providing high-performance work with efficiency. Hence, AI plays an important role in helping humans to work with better performance without the help of humans.

(3) Virtual communication tools

Considering our current global situation, virtual communication tools are likely to be explored more. This includes designing a clear, lighter version to avoid disconnection for those who have a slow or limited internet connection. People are now working from home and it would be in trend to define features that make online video calls smoother and easier.

(4) Micro interaction

Micro interaction acts as the pleasurable moments that users have while using the product. These small appealing moments contribute enormous value in providing a true humanistic experience to end-users. They aren’t simply decorative pieces; they are also effective when combined with the user’s action triggers.

(5) Glassmorphism

Glassmorphism is the latest user interface trend that is rapidly gaining popularity. This is largely based on a background blur effect, which gives elements a “through the glass” look and feel. These elements provide a well-defined hierarchy on the interface. It is achieved by imitating depth, which allows users to distinguish between what is in the foreground and what is further back on the screen. Despite this, it does not appear to be overwhelming.

(6) Soft gradients

Designers have already begun to use smart gradients in their work. Gradients are significant in graphic design to give image volume and depth. Gradient trends can be used in a variety of ways. They may also generate fresh color combinations that feel different and modern by mixing and blending different shades of color, giving designs a unique vibe.

Conclusion

As a designer, you must be aware of the above-mentioned UI UX design trends. The only way to establish a reputation in the design world is to keep learning, improving, and increasing the design toolset.
